Are You Ready?

Fed up with dieting, the diet/binge cycle, and feeling bad about your body and your eating? You are not alone. At any given time, over 50% of all Americans are on a diet. Yet studies show that 95-98% of all diets fail, and ultimately cause us to gain rather than lose weight. This 10-week class for women teaches intuitive eating, a healthy alternative to dieting and body hatred. Class limited to 8 participants.

Have Your Cake and Eat It Too! is open to women ages 18 and older who struggle with:

  • Emotional eating
  • Compulsive eating
  • Chronic dieting
  • Restrictive eating
  • Negative body image

Have Your Cake classes also can be customized for adolescents, men, and community groups.

    • Hi Meredith,
Unfortunately I don’t currently offer this class on the North Shore. I do have 2 one day workshops coming up. One in Andover and the other in Arlington. Perhaps you may like to try one of these. Feel free to contact me with any other questions.

  1. How many openings are there for the April 9th class in Cambridge? I am interested and trying to interest two others. How big is the typical group?
How much IFS do you use (I just completed my Level I training) How do you use it? Thanks BP

    • Hi Barbara,
I believe there are still 4 openings. The class is limited to 8. I use the IFS model and language quite a lot in the class. My goal is to help people bring mindfulness, compassion and curiosity to their relationship with food, their bodies and themselves – honoring the firefighters that cause us to overeat or restrict food – and getting to know the parts that they are protecting. I work on a practical level, giving people the tools to eat mindfully and trust their body’s wisdom, so that eating can become a self-directed experience. And on a deeper level, addressing the emotions that cause us to turn to food when we are not hungry. Please feel free to call or email if you want to talk further. I’d love to have you in the class! Warmly, Rivka
